JFCS/East Bay works with the local Bosnian, Cambodian and Afghan communities, where many have experienced massive destruction, torture, imprisonment, and/or the murder of family members and friends. JFCS/East Bay links licensed mental health professionals with expertise in trauma issues with bilingual/bicultural community mental health workers stationed in local community agencies. Together, they provide successive levels of intervention to clients whose issues range from mild depression to severe post traumatic stress and psychiatric disorders.
